0-0 aft 1.
----------------------------------------------------------
2-2 aft 2.
Bolles walks, Johnson hits a single. D'Amato lays out a perfect sac bunt to advance the runners. Bolles scores on a Tangney sac fly to right. Monfre walks and Mahler pinch runs and gets caught between 1st and 2nd trying to steal while Flip is up to bat. Johnson scored before Mahler was tagged out--2-2. Scoreboard not working tonight! :-(
Flip/McShane/Tangney double play action in the top of the 3rd.
Dean Weyer is walking around with his Coach Raff bobblehead that he won for guessing the attendance last week. Rumor has it it's a traveling trophy so stay tuned...
Shout out to the Weyer's for their great hospitality last night!
2-2 aft 3.

3-2 Marq aft 4.
D'Amato singles and Potter steals 2nd pinch running for him. Tangney hits up the middle and is tagged out at 2nd after Potter scores.

Anne Bolles tries to fire up the crowd in the bottom of the 5th by starting the wave...no takers!
Still 3-2 Marq aft 5.
Monfre walks, and Mahler runs for him. McShane reaches 1st on a fielder's choice with a controversial
call at second. Wilk pleads his case to no avail. Grad reaches on a blooper moving McShane.

---------------------------------------------------------Good job by Marq's D for 3 up 3 down in the top of the 6th. D'Amato strikes out the opposing pitcher in 3 pitches. This blogger is desperately searching the keyboard symbols for a backwards K.
Still 3-2 aft 6.
Crazy 1/2 inning-- with Tosa East fans definitely NOT winning the Sportmanship award. Johnson singles to center on 2 outs. Steals second--and is called out but the 2nd baseman dropped the ball. Wilk plead his case and the infield ump asked home ump for a ruling. Call is reversed and Tosa East is called back out on D. They were very slow to move and their coach received a warning from the ump. Lots of disrespectful heckling by Tosa East parents and teen fans. They are really embarrassing themselves including a parent yelling at our players to be quiet in the dugout and teens making fun of our coaches. Class all around from Marq coaches, players and fans!

Top of the 7th. Tosa East ties it up after 2 outs. We are happy to announce the return of the injured Collin Weyer who is brought out to pitch the 3rd out.
3-3 aft 6 1/2.
Marq wins 4-3 on a McShane beautiful line drive down the left field line for a double followed by a Grad sac fly to bring him to third and a Peterson hit to score McShane. Tosa fans strangely quiet :-).
