A little breeze blowing out to the southeast should not be a factor today. Pitching for the Chargers, #9 Tyler Kozlowski. Hola to the McShanes in Spain as Ryan comes up to bat to lead off for the Toppers. McShane out on a deep fly to right, he gave it a muy bueno ride. Ryan #2, Grad, up to bat...hits a screamer down the left field line and takes second with a stand up double. Grad advances to 3rd on a well hit ball to second, sac by Peterson. Bolles out on a fly to center for out #3.

Their bottom of the order sends one down the line to 3rd fielded by Bolles with a perfect throw to first for the out. Their #1 hitter sends one down the middle fielded by McShane for out # 3.
Leading off for Marquette: Johnson coming off a nice game last night. Sends one to short for a single. D'Amato hits to second and reaches first on a throw past the first baseman taking Johnson to 3rd. No outs, good guys on 1st and 3rd. Marquette looking sharp in their home whites with Tangney sporting a chain--his Phiten necklace gets us our first jewelry warning. Tangney hits into a fielder's choice bringing Johnson home. Monfre out on an infield fly. Flip hits into a 4-3 fielder's choice to end the inning.
3-1 Chargers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inning # 3:

Monfre's RBI brings Johnson home

Stick around for the Fireworks after the game, inspired by the American flag blowing majestically in center. Fred D'Amato is rumored to have bottle rockets...
#9 hitter leads off the inning for the Chargers. He reaches on an E-5 by Bolles. Charger steals 2nd. Single to right by the next batter, Marq holds the runner on 3rd. If you hear a big noise that's the FedEx plane directly overhead... Chargers score 2 on a double up the middle, close play at home on the second runner. 5-2 Chargers. Coach Wilk brings in the infield for a conference on the mound...time out as Monfre deals with an elbow injury from the last play at home. Oh the Humanity! Monfre comes back to cheers with a taped elbow and we're ready to play. No outs, Charger on 2nd. Bonfiglio walks the next batter and is applauded as he is replaced by Foley who inherits runners at 1st and 2nd. Foley warms up and looks like he's got the curve ball working... Foley starts off with a nice strike, and makes it 2 called strikes in a row. Foley retires the batter on a bouncer back to the mound and a throw to 1st but the runners advance. Foley gets the second out with his first K of the night. Marq gets out of the inning on a grounder to short and a nice play by McShane.
